K-Cup Adapter for B40 Elite, B50 Ultra, B60 Special Edition Keurig brewer / Allows you to use any gourmet ground coffee desired in your Keurig brewer
Customer Review: VERY durable and easy to clean!
I own 3 of these, and I've literally made HUNDREDS of cups of coffee with them and my Keurig B40 Elite Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System, and I have yet to have any broken screens or filter holders. I usually rinse them out after making a cup of coffee and then reuse them throughout the day, only putting them into the dishwasher at the end of the day.
I recommend a fairly fine grind with this device -- not quite as fine as you'd use with espresso, but fairly close.
My favorite use of these is to make iced coffee for friends and relatives who come over. You can crank out a few cups very quickly, pour over ice and a bit of milk, and you've got a VERY refreshing beverage that will please alot of folks.
Plus, using your own ground coffee is much cheaper than the K-Cups. I like to keep an assortment of K-Cups for company and parties, but for everyday use, I use these reusable coffee filters exclusively.
I prefer the taste of coffee made with a French press if one has the time, but you can get an almost identically-tasting cup of coffee in moments with these in this unit, and clean-up is a snap. This is one of my favorite inventions! Highly recommended.
Customer Review: If your coffee is too weak using My K-Cup . . .
. . . don't give up without some experimentation. I finally achieved good results with 2 supermarket brands: Maxwell House Slow Roast and Seattle's Best Breakfast Blend. I added coffee almost to the top of the mesh, tapping the filter on the counter to settle the coffee uniformly with each spoonful. The key is to get as much coffee as possible into the filter without packing it in too tightly or allowing any grounds to remain on the rim of the filter basket. Use the small cup setting. Near the end of the brewing process there is a spurt of what looks like clear water. If you remove your mug before this final spurt, the coffee will be stronger. I simply swap out my mug with another cup and dump that last ounce or so down the drain. Now that I am happy with the taste of my coffee using My K-Cup, the only negative comment I can make about this accessory is that there is some slight splashing during the brewing process. But dealing with that still takes far less time than it did to clean my old conventional coffeemaker.
